A member of the first cohort of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI), Hon. Ojesanmi has taken her experience in legislative leadership from the Fellowship into elected office. She contested for political office and emerged as Councillor, Ramoni Ward, and Chief Whip of the 6th Legislative Assembly, Itire-Ikate LCDA, Lagos State.
Her journey reflects the purpose of LMI: to equip emerging leaders with the knowledge, confidence and practical understanding to engage meaningfully in governance and public service. Today, she is putting that experience into practice by representing her community and contributing to local legislative decision-making.
Her transition from LMI Fellow to elected leader is more than a personal achievement. It is a powerful reflection of the impact of leadership development — when learning becomes action, and ambition becomes service.
